A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to invalid email addresses under the exact same domain name. For example, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from pals or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some point you may start receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you host a domain on our cloud web hosting platform and you’ve got a shared hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a few functions, but it’s incredibly simple to use, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes only one mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be listed in this section alphabetically and you’ll simply have to click on the "Catch-all" button for the given email address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either turn off the latter feature or pick some other mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and takes yet another click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be enabled effortlessly if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domain names hosted in your account will be listed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will notice a small button conveniently situated right next to each of them. With only one click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with the option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate this feature through the contextual menu that will come into sight. If any of the prerequisites for creating a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will warn you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
