Memcached in Shared Hosting
If you host script-powered websites in a shared hosting account with our company, you can add the Memcached memory caching system to your shared hosting package with just a few mouse clicks through your Hepsia Control Panel. The upgrade will be available immediately and, since the required PHP extension is pre-installed on our leading-edge cloud hosting platform, you can begin using it straight away. To give you more flexibility, we offer two separate upgrades related to the number of instances (in other words – how many sites will use Memcached) and to the amount of system memory that Memcached will use. The latter comes in increments of 16 MB and you can order as much memory as you like. Logically, the more memory the Memcached caching system is permitted to use, the more content it will cache, so if you’ve got a popular site with a lot of data, you may need more memory so as to be able to take advantage of the power that Memcached can give you.
Memcached in Semi-dedicated Servers
You can add the Memcached data caching platform to any of the semi-dedicated servers that we’re offering and make use of its full capacity for any script-powered site hosted by us. The upgrade is offered through the Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you can select two things – the number of instances and the amount of memory. These things show how many sites can use Memcached and the amount of system memory that it will use to cache your data. You can select them separately, since a given instance is not bound to a particular amount of memory, so you can use a lot of memory for one traffic-consuming site, for instance. This feature comes in increments of 16 megabytes and you can get as much memory as you want. The platform can be used with any script-powered website irrespective of its nature, including those based on widespread web apps like Joomla™, Drupal™ or WordPress, and plenty of companies like Zynga and Wikipedia are already using it to accelerate the speed of their websites.
Memcached in VPS Servers
Memcached comes by default with each VPS server offered by us as long as you select Hepsia as your hosting Control Panel, so you will not have to pay any extra money to be able to use the full capacity of this object caching system. The more powerful Virtual Private Server plan you pick, the more memory Memcached will have for content caching purposes, but you will have at least several hundred MB all the time, which is much more than what you’d get with a shared web hosting plan. This will enable you to use the Memcached caching system for many websites, irrespective of how heavy they are, which in turn goes to say that you can use a less powerful package for them without overloading your virtual server. The Memcached caching system is ideal for script-driven apps such as OpenCart, Joomla™, WordPress or Mambo, and you can use it even with a custom-built app. Shortly after you enable Memcached, it will start storing data and you will distinguish the optimized performance of your sites.
Memcached in Dedicated Servers
If you obtain one of our Linux dedicated servers and if you select Hepsia as your hosting Control Panel during the signup procedure, you’ll get the Memcached platform by default and you can enable it for each website that you host on your dedicated machine without upgrading or installing anything. It will begin caching data as people open your Internet site, so you will notice the result of using it soon thereafter. The minimum amount of system memory that will be available to the platform is 3 GB and naturally, the more powerful the dedicate server plan, the more system memory Memcached will have at its disposal. This amount will allow you to use the platform for numerous websites or for an extremely popular site without weakening its effectiveness. Memcached will permit you to improve the load speed of any database-powered website in no time – a Joomla™ portal, a WordPress weblog, an OpenCart store, etcetera, and to improve the performance of your dedicated server.
